hey, you should never cry alone
Drop down your heavy armor when you feel paralyzed, it´s healthy.
01.06.24
We know how hard truths can hit.
We know how complicated our feelings and emotions might be.
And certainly, we feel endangered to live them, to experience them.
So why would we let anybody know about them?
Know their existence?
Our comforting side has proven to be so delicate, so fragile, that we have opted to bury any sign of it.
And even if we share it, when it gets somehow threatened, we stop caring about it, and we start carrying it, making sure, it never spills any more details again.
I believe we can´t live without experiencing any emotion at all.
Because even the act of neglecting these emotions is in itself an expression, a vibrant yet sophisticated way to process them.
You remain silent because of two reasons: too much pain, or too much delusion.
Experiencing these internal changes leads to a fracture in our identity, in our thought system, and deeply, it resembles a strong fight with our logical and emotional behavior.
We can remain strong enough to prove ourselves we should and we will rise from any emotional torment we´ve been dealing with, but it´s not a permanent choice to be marked by it.
When you pass through hard times, hard feelings, you realize there´s no one coming to save you.
And it´s your call to start a renewal and healing process, a unique one for every single one of us.
But you should know, that even if nobody is going to come to save you…
There are people out there who will care for you.
And you don´t need to pretend with them. Nor to lie, or defend yourself from. When you realize you can count on them, you find the meaning behind your fall, behind your comeback.
After all you´ve fought, after all the hard falls, it´s okay to put your armor down. You have permission to suffer, you should aim towards better times, but you also need a shoulder that feels like home.
You are a warrior, a violent, compassionate spirit.
But you don´t need to bargain your fortitude for your health. It doesn´t end well.
Be your hero, but keep in mind that every hero is no one without a place to call home.
And even if there´s no home at all, you need a meaning, far deeper than what you could represent.
And you don´t have to be alone to discover it.
You don´t have to fight alone.
You don´t have to walk alone.
You don´t have to cry alone.
Fortitude is also being brave and strong enough to share your journey, your highs and lows.
Hope this serves.
Much love,
- Alex
