We´ve talked about how hard decisions will bring us the most optimal and valuable results.
But what happens when this is not the case? We need to take into account that discipline isn´t a burden.
There will be times when we feel too down deep inside to actually carry on with it. And it´s okay. I mean, we are humans. It´s all about adaptability and focused actions.
We call this inevitable cycle or working balance: comfort. Comfort isn´t bad. Comfort allows us to zoom out from time to time for us to see the best routes available. Comfort lets us feel the path we are walking in, not letting it just all pass by around us.
It´s the extremes that are dangerous. Therefore, what we are running from when we establish strong work ethics and guidelines is not inaction at all, is not reset...
It´s complacency. In that state of mind, we are okay with not hitting big challenges, with not winning against any obstacle at all. We sign up a contract with ourselves for making the bare minimum and expecting the most treasured results.
Complacency is what makes you weak in front of a mirror. Is that heavy bag of memories you carry within you. Complacency is the heartbeat inside every doubt you can have when starting “x” activity, “z” project, or taking on a new adventure.
We aren´t running from comfort, we are running from blind attachments and obedience to inaction and progress starvation.
As Will Schafer put it in one of his posts: “Comfort and Complacency are not the same. Comfort can take the shape of hard work ethics, discipline, and challenges unique to your abilities, traits, and life vision.”
We can´t let this form of “comforting pain” mold our entire life. It doesn´t feel good. It doesn´t bring us fulfillment of any type. It just sucks us into a strange cycle of dreams, pleasure, and instant progress, a fragile condition.
So we better watch out. We should let the comfort speak for itself. We can transform it into something that challenges us.
That too is comfort: finding peace, adventure, recharging, and progress inside the mountains and structure vision we create.
Remember, comfort is not your enemy. Staggered complacency is. Make the leap towards the path that avoids the latter.
⤴️ The Weekly Update
📚 Sometimes our perspectives can be outrageous. As you might already know, feelings and assumptions are not the best of allies. Well, let me tell you some big news today: You can´t have the right perspective.
Nor the wrong one. It´s just a matter of time, events, and data available around you.
Next time you think your approach has it all, consider it a hint that in fact, it doesn´t.
💡 The more I do, the less I achieve. Why does this happen? Well, we are so focused on what we do instead of how we do it. That makes quite the change, doesn´t it?
🎙️ Let your ego rest in peace. It´s not a matter of winning or preserving, it´s a matter of serving: your community, your vision, your equals, your gut. It´s your ego that needs to fall, that doesn´t include self-respect or awareness.

💭 The Lonely Reflection
The best way to look out the window and say:
“Will I make it?”
Is to calmly analyze your head
and say to that inner void:
“You know what, we´ll get there.”
“We are coming.”
That´s how believing in what you do feels like.
