Clarity is what matters.
Think about any subject you´d like.
Any career, job, action, process.
Clarity is the crucial point that can make or break any project.
Yet, leave it alone and nothing happens. You need to take action.
That´s why most of us lose focus on the big picture. We think that somehow we´ll get there, assuming we have carved out a way to get there.
Reality check: if we lose clarity, there´s no action that will benefit us other than steering our boat to a safe route again.
“It´s not about having objectives, it´s about having direction.”
It hit me. I had been so dragged by the systems for creation and writing I´ve been creating over the past 16 months that all of a sudden everything felt like labor.
No happy times when it felt like play.
Why? I lost direction. I had goals, and still have very ambitious goals.
But despite it, despite respecting every season of life I was in, I still didn´t quite find my direction.
Can you relate to this, too?
I asked myself this simple reflection.
Would I watch/read a piece related to the work I´m doing right now?
Why? Why not?
Changed everything.
I´m more aware of what I´m creating.
Of the steps I´m taking to develop my career.
I´m more aware of how I construct my relationships with other people.
Of how I make sure I enhance all the work I put out there.
More aware of the steps I´m taking toward my brand, my business projects… everything.
Goals don´t matter as much as direction does.
Be a driven mind, not a driven working machine.
