Behind The Curtains: How Vlogging Became King For The Diary Of A CEO
The human drive behind the iconic, creative mind: Steven Bartlett.
Okay, so the time has come.
Finally, Steven Bartlett has let us take a look at the majority of the process that involves his core vision: his podcast, the team that´s guiding it all, and all the magic that happens backstage during the social media appearance.
If you don´t know who I´m talking about, Steven Bartlett is one of the grand creative and knowledge entrepreneurs of our time.
He´s the founder of the Diary Of A CEO Podcast, which is listened to by millions across the globe.
Investor and founder of Flight Story Fund, and one of the dragons featured in Dragons´ Den (an English TV show all about entrepreneurship and investments).
Steven unleashes such amount of value and deep insights in each of his podcast interviews.
Yet these vlogs are completely game changers.
If you are involved in this whole “creative entrepreneur” sphere, you could have already realized that a bunch of other creators in the space have been posting vlogs too.
Steven has re-ignited this feeling of connection not only amongst his community but also outside of it.
That´s astonishing work there.
Steven, being an iconic leader and mastermind in his area and work, still changes the game even though he has relatively “won” the game.
The key to the massive success of his vlogs…
Feeling and identity.
You see, if you follow Steven Bartlett, you are not following just a man. Technically speaking you are, yet there´s a deeper value behind that.
You are following a culture, a vision.
Steven´s videos are all about that: a visionary mind working for outstanding goals, day by day, leading and trying his best on each task ahead.
Relentlessly iterating on what he needs to do, on what he says he is, and on what he says he does.
That´s impressive.
That´s the whole motivation behind each project and most of all, that´s the reason you can´t stop watching: Steven´s work and courage to step on and move forwards never stops.
Although most of the credit goes to him, his team and project dynamics back it up.
You are there, rooting for him because you can see the whole frame that surrounds the picture.
You can see the small yet important details that matter to Steven and his team.
You can see the whys and steps that are followed on each decision.
You are seeing challenges being taken, not run away from.
Steven showing his journey is what allows you to realize you can do it too.
At some kind of level. Yet you can do it too.
That´s the most important take-away: Steven Bartlett shows you the human side and also, the human drive behind everything he does.
That´s a powerful motivator right there.
Also, the sound design and sick edits that continue to get better after each vlog episode are what put these vlogs on top of the game.
Personally, they have inspired me to create my own “creative entrepreneur” vlog mini-series, so if you are interested in watching the previous episodes I´ve launched, here´s where to do it.
In short…
If you want not only to stay accountable to your goals, projects, and life mission but also want to ignite your passion and drive to follow them each day, you need to show the process.
It can be in the form of a diary, of a video, even a newsletter or weekly essay you can deliver on any given platform.
The premise is this: showing the journey and process behind what you do and why you do it, inspires people and keeps your trust to to the thing.
To be who you say you are or to be who you say you can be.
Show the being the curtains. Show humanity and connection in between.
Humans love humans. You love stories as much as I do.
So write a heck of a story, my friend.
And despite everything, do your best to show it to the world.

💭 The Lonely Reflection
Uproot lies, sow truths.
Let all that flow.
Let what you did not consider beautiful come to life.
Embrace its depths, let its currents guide you,
but don't lose your boat while you sail far.

Great recap! What a great works you're doing too!
It's great to see that Steven's content has inspired you to start your own vlog mini-series.
