06.04.24
A new month ahead.
And by now, maybe the magic that started it all for you in 2024… is barely there.
So, I wrote this reminder for you. A read you need to save and re-read later. A companion to hug you on the difficult times, and the drive to carry on with your progress.
May you find it so valuable you can´t stop achieving milestones. Enjoy.
“You have to find beauty in the dark place. When you´re all alone. When you start from nothing. When all you have is a delusional dream. There´s magic there. Because there´s nothing left to hide. No fake goals. No fake confidence. No fake success. Something real can now exist.” - Zach Pogrob
Quite the phrase, isn´t it? You have to find beauty in the dark space.
What exactly does a dark place look like?
Is it a catastrophic event in our lives?
Is it just challenges brought to us daily?
Or is it indeed a large, old, and dusty cavern in the middle of nowhere?
Zach has brought up the question most of our young generation is asking: how do I know when I´ll be ready?
How do I overcome these and those obstacles?
How can I make progress towards “x” or “y” projects?
Am I lost or inevitably following my odds of success?
“You work on one thing, selflessly, and relentlessly. When people call you crazy, you know you're doing it right. The paradox is- that turning off the world is the only way to change it. Good comes from bad. Turning points start at dead ends. Genius comes with a dash of madness. And losing everything, makes anything possible.” - Zach Pogrob
Obsession will take you further down the line for the answer to all of those questions, doubts, and fears.
We know it´s not easy to have that relentless desire or focused vision to hold on with a strong grip and a beating heart to all of what we´ve ever desired.
It´s not easy, but it´s possible. Those great awakenings, those great pushes come from the madness of few, the work, sweat, and tears of those individuals who have worked in silence.
Who have become friends of the dark places of life: consistent iteration, learning, action, approval, design.
Those who have seen the night and not run from it.
Standing with their vision, against the shadows, knowing they could be the ones that on a given day, could call out loud and wave back to the darkness that challenged them.
Those individuals are known as champions.
But they play like they´ve never won before.
Because they don´t feel anger, sadness, or fear from the uncertainty the dark places behold. They appreciate the opportunities.
It doesn´t mean you go out seeking problems out of life, it means when life comes to you with those, you are prepared enough to say to it: I can make it happen.
Life without a little bit of madness, a little bit of obsession towards the magic it possesses… can be cruel.
Magic comes from great stories, and great stories aren´t those but the ones written by impeccable authors. You can be one of them.
Shall your chapter begin?
