I can agree with Tim Ferris' perspective on adversity revealing character. It's a refreshing take on the age-old concept. Life's challenges serve as mirrors, showing us who we truly are and what we need to work on. It's all about self-awareness and intentional growth. Thanks for sharing this insightful post, Alex!

Someone recently said, “You didn’t become what hurt you and they did.” This reminds me of that. The more I think about it, the more I think I’d like to explore this idea for myself so thanks for that.

So yeah, adversity doesn’t build character, it reveals it. I love that. And it’s so true. Because some people, they go through adversity and allow it to make their hearts dark, and they take advantage of people because they have been taken advantage of. And others, well, they don’t, because their hearts are good, no matter what, and it doesn’t even occur to them to hurt others the way they have been hurt. So yeah, I’d say that’s a good reveal of character. Also,

I followed you on Insta and tik tok. I’d love to grow my other platform connections thru the awesome writers on substack so hit me back.
