Do you remember how it felt? How did it look?
I´m asking about the “freedom” insight you got when you were young.
No one paid you to choose your hobbies when you were young, no one paid you to choose your fun activities or the topics you were interested in… you chose.
And it’s easier to choose because you feel like it was the right decision… you got help:
➯ Society
➯ Friends
➯ Family
Saying you could and should do certain things.
That’s what kept you going without fear… because when fear comes into the equation,
You crumble.
And that leads to thinking you aren’t doing the right thing.
That’s what is scary about commitment when you deal with it yourself. Commitment to a path.
Commitment with your work, with your family, commitment to choosing to start your day with the right habits, commitment to accomplishing your ambitions goals…
No one told you to do them. You chose to, and fear is attached to all of them. There’s uncertainty about the right choice.
And even if it wasn’t the right choice, you learned. And worked. And failed.
And learned and progressed so much.
That’s the highest ticket you can aim for while challenging yourself and commuting to follow any course that you can come up with in your life.
If you are worried about wasting your time… and still continue to scroll for more than 5 hours per day on your phone; something’s wrong with the vision and plan.
You are already wasting time!
The work you are putting in, it’s an inversion to a highly valuable universal ability and knowledge. That’s quite the offer.
Progress is the ultímate form of freedom you want in this life.
Progress means living.
Progress is the undeniable stack of proof that you are willing to pay for the freedom you long for.
It´s a constant struggle. A battle between sacrificing comfort for your monthly rental of free living.
How much are you willing to pay for the freedom you want in life?
Is it not going to parties or even reducing the amount of time you give yourself to live a social life?
Is it committing to a healthy relationship with yourself?
Is it showing up in time even if you don’t want to?
Is it making the time to do the hard thing despite the odds?
Freedom is something you can achieve. You pay surprisingly less if you sacrifice that freedom in the common sense and short term for the long run.
Time isn’t freedom.
Your level of commitment is what makes that freedom tangible, meaningful, and overall impactful.
Name the price it has in your life.
Your priorities will align themselves.

Freedom and commitment resonates deeply, they offer a profound reflection on the choices we make in life and the sacrifices inherent in pursuing our aspirations. You inspire a deeper examination of personal values and goals. Thank you for encouraging us to align our actions with aspirations.
This is exactly where I am at right now. Maybe where I have always been. In my last post, I wrote
"The comfort of routine, the certainty it brings, it can be so tempting to just stick with what you have and ride it out. I run into that feeling every time I start working somewhere new. But I now realise that it ultimately keeps me from fully embracing the life that I really want." And I want to keep making decisions not out of fear but out of a deep feeling of it being the right thing to do. The challenge is then not the decision itself but how to make it happen. And suddenly there appear countless options and opportunities, amazing really.
